Allison was our first consignor. We're not even sure if she knows this - and we don't remember how we connected with her! But we knew we loved her the second she brought in a beautiful nightstand to our very first location in Carver.

And though she kept consigning with us here and there {meaning she'd just bring in a piece or two when we had space}, we couldn't convince her to come on board full-time until pal Kirsten from White Butterfly moved to Minnesota. Because, here's the deal with Allison - she might be the most conscientious person we know. She just couldn't commit to a full space until she was sure she could consistently fill it. She's not the type of person to ever want to put someone else in a bad place {you know, like leaving CJC with a giant hole during a sale}, which is why we love and respect her! It also means every single one of her pieces is beautifully and perfectly finished.
Tell us about yourself: I'm a mom of 3 boys and have a fabulous husband! We also have 2 dogs...a rescue Golden who is 10 and a yellow lab puppy. I've lived in the area almost my entire life. I love running and time with my girlfriends. I also get crabby after not painting furniture for a few days.
How did Fab Rehab start: A total fluke. I was redoing our living room into a playroom and needed something for one corner, but didn't have much money. A friend said "Grab a chair at Goodwill and paint it". I'd never thought about that! I grew up garage saleing with my mom and had always loved that. Once I painted my first piece, I was hooked!
Where do you find your inspiration?: Sometimes I look on pinterest, but generally I wait for a piece to "speak" to me. I know it sounds corny...but I've jumped into a piece without knowing exactly what I want to do with it, and it's always a disaster. So I usually wait a few days before deciding what to do with it. I also LOVE to keep anything original to the piece that's worth keeping...especially wood surfaces. That's why I do a lot of two-tone pieces. Keeping a part of the piece's history but still updating it.
Share some of your favorite pieces {ones you've done}:

How can you NOT love her style? It's cohesive, clear, and beautifully done {we were serious about the perfection in every piece.} We feel pretty lucky that we finally convinced her to come on board with CJC - and we've decided she's not ever allowed to leave!
